What is Dream?

Dream is a Minecraft creator best known for manhunt videos, where he tries to beat the game while friends hunt him. He streamed faceless for years before a 2022 face reveal, and his fandom is one of the largest in gaming.

Is Dream appropriate for kids?

The videos themselves are intense but clean: fast Minecraft chases with mild language. What parents should know sits around the channel rather than in it. The fandom and the drama channels covering him are heavily present in recommendations, and that surrounding content ranges from harmless to very much not kid-oriented.

Whether that fits your child is your call. If you decide to block the channel, here is how.

Block Dream with Vidward

  1. 1
Create your free Vidward account. The trial runs 7 days with no credit card.
  2. 2
Add your child in the dashboard and link their computer by typing the one-time code into the Vidward extension in their browser.
  3. 3
Open your child's Filters tab, search for Dream and block the channel.
  4. 4
Done. Dream disappears from search, the home feed, recommendations and direct links in their browser, and every change you make syncs to their device.

Does YouTube have a built-in way to block a channel?

Not really. YouTube's "Don't recommend channel" option only trims the home feed. Dream still shows up in search results, in Shorts and through direct links, and your child can undo the setting in two clicks. Restricted Mode filters some mature content but cannot target a specific channel. That gap is exactly what Vidward covers.
