Terms of Service
Last updated: July 1, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Vidward. By creating an account or using the extension or dashboard, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Vidward.
The service
Vidward provides parental controls for YouTube: a browser extension that enforces content rules on your child’s device, and a dashboard where you manage rules, devices and watch activity. Features and availability may change over time.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of any child you set up. You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Keep your login secure and notify us of any unauthorized use.
The browser extension
Vidward’s extension runs in Google Chrome on the device where you install it and enforces your rules by modifying what YouTube displays. It relies on YouTube’s web interface, which can change; we work to keep enforcement reliable but cannot guarantee that every piece of content will always be blocked. Your use of YouTube remains subject to YouTube’s own terms.
Subscriptions and billing
Vidward offers a free 7-day trial (no credit card required) and paid plans (currently $4.99/month or $39.99/year). Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Prices may change with notice. Payments are handled by our third-party payment processor.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- misuse, disrupt or interfere with the service;
- reverse-engineer or attempt to circumvent the service, except as permitted by law;
- use Vidward to violate any law or the rights of others; or
- resell or share your account outside your household.
One subscription is intended for a single family.
Intellectual property
Vidward and its content, logos and software are owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Vidward for your personal, family use in accordance with these Terms.
Third-party services and trademarks
Vidward is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google LLC. “YouTube” is a trademark of Google LLC. Vidward integrates with third-party services that are governed by their own terms.
Disclaimers
Vidward is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will block all unwanted content.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vidward and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using Vidward at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service. On termination, your right to use Vidward ends.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Vidward operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
