What Bark is
Bark is a monitoring and alerting service. It scans texts, email, social apps and YouTube activity on covered setups, and alerts you when something looks like bullying, self-harm or contact from predators. That breadth is real; nothing YouTube-specific attempts it. For YouTube control it offers two blunt levers: block the app or site, or require Restricted Mode.
What Vidward is
Vidward is a YouTube filter that lives in your child's browser. From your parent dashboard you block channels, videos and title keywords, remove Shorts entirely, enforce autoplay off, filter videos by length, or flip to an approved-channels-only mode. Blocks cover search results and direct links, and your child's Google account stays untouched.
Scope is the honest limit: Vidward covers YouTube in desktop browsers. It does not read texts, manage phones, or filter the rest of the internet.
