Free parent tool

Check a YouTube channel before your child watches

Paste one channel. See its public YouTube facts, any notes our team has checked, and the exact rule Vidward uses to block it.

Facts come from YouTube. Parent notes appear only for channels in our hand written registry.

Handles, names, youtube.com/@handle, youtube.com/channel/UC... and older youtube.com/c/name or youtube.com/user/name links work.

Start with one channel

Try a handle such as @MrBeast, a channel name, or the full channel link from YouTube. The checker does not need your YouTube account.

Questions about the checker

What can I paste?

Paste a YouTube handle, channel name, channel URL or channel ID. Links with an @ handle and older /c/ or /user/ paths work.

Does this tool decide if a channel is safe?

No. For channels in our checked registry, it shows hand written notes about the videos. For every other channel, it shows YouTube facts only.

How fresh is the channel data?

Channel facts use a seven day refresh interval. Recent upload signals use a one day refresh interval.

Does Vidward block the channel on every device?

No. Vidward is a browser extension for the desktop. It runs on Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera and Safari on a linked computer, and it does not filter phones, tablets, TVs, consoles or your home network.
