How to block Aphmau on YouTube
What Aphmau's Minecraft roleplay series are like, the binge pattern to expect, and how to block the channel for your child.
What is Aphmau?
Aphmau is Jessica Bravura's channel of Minecraft roleplay series aimed squarely at younger viewers. School, werewolf and rescue story lines run across hundreds of voice-acted episodes that kids follow like a TV series.
Is Aphmau appropriate for kids?
Content is clean, with no meaningful profanity and gentle romance-lite plots. The characteristics parents notice are the episodic format, which is engineered for very long binge sessions, and a strong merchandise push aimed at young fans. Some story arcs use peril and horror-lite themes that sensitive younger kids find intense.
Whether that fits your child is your call. If you decide to block the channel, here is how.
Block Aphmau with Vidward
- 1Create your free Vidward account. The trial runs 7 days with no credit card.
- 2Add your child in the dashboard and link their computer by typing the one-time code into the Vidward extension in their browser.
- 3Open your child's Filters tab, search for Aphmau and block the channel.
- 4Done. Aphmau disappears from search, the home feed, recommendations and direct links in their browser, and every change you make syncs to their device.
Does YouTube have a built-in way to block a channel?
Not really. YouTube's "Don't recommend channel" option only trims the home feed. Aphmau still shows up in search results, in Shorts and through direct links, and your child can undo the setting in two clicks. Restricted Mode filters some mature content but cannot target a specific channel. That gap is exactly what Vidward covers.
