What is SML?

SML is Logan Thirtyacre's puppet comedy channel, built around Mario-adjacent characters like Jeffy in crude sitcom plots. It is one of the longest-running and biggest scripted channels on YouTube.

Is SML appropriate for kids?

This is the classic trap channel: the puppets and Mario iconography read as kids' content, but the humor is explicitly adult, with sexual jokes, slurs-adjacent insult comedy and violence played for shock. YouTube has repeatedly age-restricted and demonetized parts of the catalog. Jeffy imitation in particular is a long-documented complaint from parents and teachers.

Whether that fits your child is your call. If you decide to block the channel, here is how.

Block SML with Vidward

  1. 1
Create your free Vidward account. The trial runs 7 days with no credit card.
  2. 2
Add your child in the dashboard and link their computer by typing the one-time code into the Vidward extension in their browser.
  3. 3
Open your child's Filters tab, search for SML and block the channel.
  4. 4
Done. SML disappears from search, the home feed, recommendations and direct links in their browser, and every change you make syncs to their device.

Does YouTube have a built-in way to block a channel?

Not really. YouTube's "Don't recommend channel" option only trims the home feed. SML still shows up in search results, in Shorts and through direct links, and your child can undo the setting in two clicks. Restricted Mode filters some mature content but cannot target a specific channel. That gap is exactly what Vidward covers.
