What is Alphabet Lore?

Alphabet Lore is Mike Salcedo's animated series giving letters of the alphabet personalities in an escalating story. It became a preschool-age phenomenon far beyond its intended audience.

Is Alphabet Lore appropriate for kids?

The original series mixes cartoon menace and emotional arcs that very young fans find intense but manageable. The real issue is the imitation economy: thousands of low-effort knockoff videos reuse the letter characters in creepier and more violent scenarios, and toddler viewers cannot tell them apart from the original. Blocking the source channel is usually only the start.

Whether that fits your child is your call. If you decide to block the channel, here is how.

Block Alphabet Lore with Vidward

  1. 1
Create your free Vidward account. The trial runs 7 days with no credit card.
  2. 2
Add your child in the dashboard and link their computer by typing the one-time code into the Vidward extension in their browser.
  3. 3
Open your child's Filters tab, search for Alphabet Lore and block the channel.
  4. 4
Done. Alphabet Lore disappears from search, the home feed, recommendations and direct links in their browser, and every change you make syncs to their device.

Does YouTube have a built-in way to block a channel?

Not really. YouTube's "Don't recommend channel" option only trims the home feed. Alphabet Lore still shows up in search results, in Shorts and through direct links, and your child can undo the setting in two clicks. Restricted Mode filters some mature content but cannot target a specific channel. That gap is exactly what Vidward covers.
